LAB Pro Inspections has been satisfying clients since 2001 by providing the most thorough home inspections available.

LAB Pro inspector, Lon Barnaby, is certified by InterNACHI, a national home inspection organization, which has over 11 million members in 60 countries with the largest home inspection website in the world.  Lon is also a licensed Florida Home Inspector, Lic # HI-180.  Most importantly, Lon is a Florida Registered Professional Structural Engineer (PE).  This is very important to you because only a Florida PE, not a home inspector, can judge adequacy of structures.

Home inspectors who are not engineers are required to tell you to consult a Florida PE if they have any concern about a structure.  That would significantly increase your home inspection cost.  Of course, they may not even be able to identifying a structural concern.  With LAB Pro Inspections, you get structural engineering experience at your home inspection, so you never pay additional fees for an engineering judgement.   Any structural defects found by Lon during your inspection will be reported along with corrective actions, as well as sketches and diagrams that define the required repair.  In addition, Lon provides free engineering consultation with those making necessary structural repairs and he will certify the structure once repairs have been made.   LAB Pro can also provide WDO/Termite Inspections.  (by licensed Pest Control Operator)

About

Lon completed over 5,500 inspections, including new construction and homes as old as when our country won its independence. These inspections included WDO/Termite, Radon, Septic, and Manufactured Home Tie-Downs in addition to other specialized inspections such as Florida Wind Mitagation, Roof Certification, Log Homes, etc. Prior to starting LAB Pro, Lon's skills were developed during various residential, commercial and industrial construction activities, including managing the engineering, design and construction of large, worldwide cryogenic manufacturing facilities throughout the USA, Europe and Asia. This Fortune 500 cryogenic company provided the liquid oxygen and hydrogen for the entire NASA Space Shuttle program. Lon later headed the 300+ person Corporate Engineering and Design Department. Lon knows that hard work is needed to succeed. He was awarded a BS degree in Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from Widener University in Pennsylvania by attending evening classes while working full time to support his wife and two children. He then gained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, also by attending evening classes. Lon values education, as you can see in his Education Summary. Lon's Florida Home Inspector License can be seen by selecting SEARCH and then entering the name Lionel Barnaby at the Florida License Website.

Lon has been a member of InterNACHI for many years. InterNACHI is arguably the largest home inspection Organization in the USA, Canada, and other countries. Maintaining this membership requires continuing education that is both challenging and of great benefit to our you, our clients. You can view the extensive training Lon has completed in the EDUCATION section of this website. You can also review the InterNACHI Standards & Ethics at the InterNACHI Website
